Once upon a time in Arizona, there lived a cowgirl named Sandra. Like all cowgirls, Sandra was tough, hardworking, and smart as a whip. She and her parents worked a cattle ranch called Lazy B. In fact, this cowgirl graduated from High School two years early and attended Stanford University, where she studied law, even though a bunch of men told her not to bother. About thirty years later, Sandra Day O'Connor became the first female Supreme Court Justice. She still credits her success to lessons learned while working on the land, recounted in her 2002 memoir Lazy B: Growing up on a Cattle Ranch in the American Southwest.

The bumper repeats the quilt's pattern and is finished with microsuede ties. A gently gathered microsuede dust ruffle is trimmed with pink bandanna, also used for the well-fitted sheet.
