Once upon a time in far off Oologah Territory (now Oklahoma), there lived a little cowboy named Will. Like all cowboys, Will rode his horse, mended fences, and roped four legged critters. In fact, he was such a good roper he made it into the record books when he was still a teenager.
Will dropped out of tenth grade to work the family ranch, but continued to devour books. In 1902, he worked Wild West Shows that toured South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. When he got back to the U.S. in 1904, he developed a Vaudeville act, traveling the U.S., Canada and Europe to rave reviews.
Will Rogers' roping skills were quite impressive, but most audiences paid to hear him share his smart and funny observations about human nature. His epitaph includes his best-known quote: "I never met a man I didn't like."

A wrap around bumper repeats the quilt's design. The entire piece is backed with chocolate microsuede and finished with matching ties. The well-tailored chocolate dust ruffle is trimmed with red bandanna and includes a crisply executed center pleat. A spotted cow print sheet completes the linen group.
